Anum is a Registered Professional Counsellor – Candidate and Youth & Family Support Worker trained in Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Evidence based Solution Focused Therapy. She works collaboratively with individuals (ages 14+) surrounding a variety of issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, phobia, self-esteem, life transitions, coping skills, stress management, domestic violence and suicidal ideation.
She also has profound experience working as an “Addictions Counsellor” collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists at a Suboxone and Methadone Maintenance Treatment clinic where she helped young souls combat opioid addiction and find meaning after traumatic experiences by empowering them to release old and stale patterns that no longer serve them.
Anum’s work is grounded in the underlying principles of CBT, ACT, IFS, Mindfulness based self-compassion and evidence-based solution focused therapy that helps clients combat their addiction and cravings without falling prey to relapse and overdose.
