Hope today.
Independence tomorrow.

We meet people where the need is — with food, guidance and someone who listens. Then we keep walking with them toward the resources, skills and work that build independence — until the day they stand beside us, helping the next person through.

Everyone arrives at ASPIRE from one of two directions. Both are welcome here.

Who We Help

Real Stories, Real Impact

A newcomer family finding their feet

A permanent resident from Syria faced eviction after a lay-off, with no other housing options for the family. An Aspire caseworker helped them apply for aid benefits that covered part of the rent and rescinded the eviction notice — and then turned to the employment search so the household could rebuild.

A first Canadian job, and confidence back

A newcomer with a decade in smart-home technology felt disoriented navigating housing and health on his own. A caseworker reworked his resume around his transferable skills, connected him to job and volunteer leads, and shared housing referrals. In his words: “This is the first time I’ve met someone as caring as you.”

Health, housing and stability restored

Severe migraines and a $500 medication left one client unable to work or afford care. Aspire provided an immediate gift card, secured a family-doctor appointment through a community connection, guided him through PharmaCare Special Authority, and applied for housing support through Reaching Home.

A home that fits, at last

A client who uses a wheelchair became homeless and was repeatedly turned away. His caseworker interpreted at hospital, applied for BC Housing and the Right Fit Program, arranged counselling, and followed up relentlessly — until a suitable, accessible unit was finally secured.
